Welcome

This two day workshop will bring together the work of advanced graduate students and recent PhDs working on topics of current interest in modern South Asian Studies. Past papers have tackled issues ranging from film and ethnomusicology to state formation and elections, presenting new theoretical and methodological alternatives in the study of South Asia. 

A complete submission will include paper title, an abstract of no more than 700 words, the first three pages of the paper you will be presenting, contact information with a phone number where a candidate can be reached, academic affiliation, discipline, year in graduate program and a one page CV.

Accommodation and meals will be provided to all selected candidates for the days of the workshop in New Haven , Connecticut.

Travel cost up to $500 will be reimbursed  to participants  upon submission of original receipts


Applications must be submitted online no later than October 25, 2019.

Selected Candidates will be informed by December 3, 2019.

Completed papers of 7,000 words by December 30, 2019.
